Welcome to 4ME Pilates Richmond at 239 Church Street. We run reformer, mat and heated mat Pilates classes seven days a week, with clear class levels so you always know where to start and how to progress.

If you are new to Pilates, you start at Level 1. Every class is 45 minutes, fully planned, and led by an instructor who knows your name. Our founders are physiotherapists, which is why our levels are structured the way they are: you build confidence first, then strength.

New clients can try a full month for $59. Book through the button above, or read on to see what a first visit looks like.

Reformer Pilates in Richmond

Reformer Pilates is the class most people come to us for. You work on a sprung carriage that adds resistance and support, so you can load your legs, glutes, core and arms without impact. It is low impact and high effort, and it suits beginners as much as regular movers.

Our Richmond reformer classes run across three levels. Level 1 teaches you the reformer and builds the basics at an intensity you will enjoy. Level 2 adds strength and challenge once you have trained regularly for a few months. Level 3 keeps you moving with fewer breaks and is not for beginners. Your instructor will tell you honestly when you are ready to move up.

Mat and Heated Mat Pilates in Richmond

Mat classes use your own body weight and small props. They build core control, mobility and balance, and they teach you the movement patterns that make your reformer classes better. Richmond also runs heated mat classes, in a warm room that helps you move more freely. Bring a towel. Many members mix reformer and mat across the week. If you are new, do two weeks on the reformer first, then add mat.

Your first visit

Arrive 15 minutes early for your first class only. Tell your instructor you are new, and mention any niggles or injuries so they can adjust exercises before class rather than during it. They will walk you through the reformer: the footbar, carriage, springs and straps. By week two you will set up your own machine.

What to bring

Grip socks are required on the reformer, and we sell them at the front desk if you forget. Bring a water bottle and comfortable activewear that will not catch in the springs. No runners needed. Bring a small towel for heated mat.

How booking works

Every booking, cancellation and waitlist happens in the 4ME Pilates app. Book a Level 1 class at a time you can repeat next week. Mia, our Richmond studio manager, will call to welcome you before your first class and check in with you each week of your first month. Read the new client guide for the full rundown, or see what reformer and mat Pilates involve.
